விளக்கம்:
அன்று யான் கடலிலும் பெரிதான காதல் நோயை அன்று எனக்குச் செய்த இக்கண்கள்,

அத் தீவினையால், தாமும் உறங்காமல் இவ்விரவுப் பொழுதில் துன்பத்தை அடைகின்றன.

Explanation:
These are the eyes which conferred me the Love malady, hence for such a crime;
they are distressed along with me by not resting.
